Ike Reilly leads off this week's episode with sort of a punk-inspired rock chant and it's a great angsty commentary. I follow it with some classic blue-eyed soul from Anderson East. So glad to see people are still writing songs in this style. Good horns! Speaking of hot horns, check out the collab between Eli Paperboy Reed and the High & Mighty Brass Band. This week I'm playing the "Satisfier." I got a fix of bluegrass from one of the longest running bands in the business Hot Rize. This week I'm playing the classic "Wichita Lineman" which I think is an old Jimmy Webb tune. I got 7 minutes of heavy blues rock jam courtesy of The Dennis Jones Band. Also this week a sweet foot tapper from Motel Mirrors, big show country rock from Shooter Jennings, deep-felt blues from Shemekia Copeland, a roadhouse tune from Kevin Gordon, slow-burn, late night rock from Lucero, a fun honkytonk number from Cliff Westfall, an acoustic take on a Rodney Crowellclassic, a barn-burner from Parker Millsap, a road tune from 6 String Drag, A fun send-off tune from James Scott Bullard, and a pop rock from Ruby Boots.
